We want to make a real difference to the lives of people in Northern Ireland, attracting the unconvinced and the disinterested, and modifying their perceptions of STEM through a range of compelling, immersive, and fun experiences.

W5 Community Access Fund

The W5 Community Access Fund aims to support the work of local community groups, charities, volunteer organisations, and schools that operate in Northern Ireland. Our priorities for investing in the community are:

Help those most in need.
Help to protect the environment.
Promote education and STEM-based learning.
Increase Science Capital.
Promote inclusion, health, and wellbeing.
Encourage and support digital inclusion.

PHILANTHROPY

How does it work?

Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to £500 to assist with costs relating to visiting W5. These costs include:

Entrance costs to W5.
Parking fees.
W5 workshops.
Costs associated with attending one-off events at W5.

Philanthropy

Who can request support?

The Fund is open to schools, voluntary and community groups, those involved in childcare and homeschooling, and other charitable organisations. Organisations must have:

Charitable aims as part of their governing document.
A bank account in the name of the organisation or group.
An appropriate child or vulnerable adult safeguarding policy and procedure where applicable.
